Message Waiting Indicator

Hi all.

I have a 3300 CXi, I have 4 phones (some part of a group 1 not)

They all get message waiting indicator..

now my question is, on the 5000 series, you can say what sets this off, ie a certain mailbox sets this off, can this be done on the 3300? if so where please?

Or is there anyway I can see what causes this to occur?

is it the big button on the phone that is flashing or a key on the phone? What is the voicemail you are using?

Its the button with the envelope and the corner light flashing at the same time.

Its the inbuilt message system.

Typically on the embedded 3300 you have to put the extension that the VM will give the MWI indicator to. On a Nupoint you can give MWI indications to other phones using distribution list. Not sure on the embedded if you can do the same. Typically if you want to give other phones an MWI indication from other then their own mailbox you have to use a separate key.

So if you check the mailbox programming for the group and each of the phones you might be able to determine what is causing this.

There is a slight bump however, I don't really know what I'm doing the course is booked for next month but we have a couple of customers now (don't ask, I know) what/where is the extension mailbox option please?
