Only way  know is to have Mitel access the system remotely and reset it.
Cost ~$350 - $500

I don't do.
You'll have to go through your VAR.
They will need remote access.

This process is a very big pain in the neck...! I can understand why I guess...

Value Added Reseller? Hmmmm! That is open to debate...

Sorry for the gripe, just needed to vent a little!

No, it may or not not be justified.   As a Mitel VAR I've done a few "takeovers" and in our case those were done for free by Mitel.  Explain the situation to a good VAR and you should get helped.  That said, while we didn't have charges from Mitel for them, they did pay for our time to get it all done.   Probably a wash as to cost....

the reason the process is a pain  is that mitel protects its VAR's...  say you do some work on a mitel system as a VAR.. and the customer never pays you for the work and ignores your calls...

the customer in turn just goes to another VAR to get service in the future...  Mitel first makes sure there are no monies owed to the original VAR before resetting the password for the customer...

this is done so customers dont "VAR hop" getting free service....

we see it all the time... new customer comes to us and turns out they owe money to another mitel dealer.....
