RAD using embedded voicemailports, hears nothing but MoH
« on: November 12, 2012, 11:10:37 AM »

Hi there Mitel friends. At first i am wishing you all a pleasant week.
Guys i programmed an ACD path with interflow dailing list and uses voicemail ports for the announcement. For example, Welcom at Telbo, for English press 1, for Dutch press 2 for Spanish press3. When the caller press1, they must here: currently where are closed etc etc etc.

Last week i had a problem that when the user press 1, the caller doesn't here the message that currently we are closed. What i did to resolved it was to change the vm port from vm port 10 to vmport 9.

Last night i had the same problem but now for both path, the english and dutch patch. I can change them one more time, but can someone help me out why the vmports get blokced?

Regards,

Gimitel

A RAD will go into DND for a couple of reasons.
1- the port doesn't answer for some reason.
2- the length of the message is greater than the "Answer Plus Message Length Timer" found in the COS of the RAD.

To clear the DND you have to use the Remote Cancel DND FAC.  You'll have to look up that code in the Feature Access Code form for yourself.   Remember that the COS of the phone you dial the FAC from must allow it to set/clear DND on a remote set.

Hi there guys, thanks for the expert explanation.
I can lookup the Remote Cancel DND FAC. This i will enterd in the form. I will activate set/clear DND on a remote set in both COS (Phone & RAD). But, my question is how do i dial or activate the Remote Cancel DND on the voicemail port? Do i have to dial de Feature Access Code and then enter the VM port number?

For example: dial ###7610 ? (7610 is the vm port)

Guys,

To cancel a DND remotely, you can go into the ESM -> Users and Devices- > Advanced Configuration -> DND
In this form you can switch on or off the DND

gimitel -

That's exactly what I was looking to do (remotely cancel DND).  Thank for following up and posting.
