Clicking noise on some calls
« on: October 05, 2012, 10:13:12 PM »
Some incoming calls have clicking sound every few seconds and it doesn't happen all the time. we are using mitel 3300 release 7 with PRI. there is no packet loss or framing loss in the pri.

I usually associate the clicking noise with the PRI.
But, just because your PRI looks good at the interface it doesn't mean there isn't a problem deeper in the carriers network.
Try to see if you can associate the clicks with an exchange or LD calls.

I have to agree with ralph on this one, this is almost always a PRI or T1 issue, often related to clocking. Verify your clocking source is set correctly and if the problem continues I would contact your PRI vendor.
