5320 fails to register with CXi II

Hi,

I have an issue here. IPPhone 5320 fails to boot up with CXi II. (It states TFTP server unavailable and continue booting and then it stuck at Contact ICP)

I have FTP into the CXi II and theres no Minet firmware for 5320. The CXi II is running on latest firmware MCD 5.0 SP2.

Anyway to get it to bootup with the correct firmware ?

There's a kb on mol about vlan settings and 53xx phones on MCD 5.
Try removing the vlan and priority settings from DHCP option 125 and give the phone a boot.

Failing that.. Reboot the phone, hold the down arrow wait for it to present you options. Move through the options till you get to static network settings. Assign the gateway, ICP, and TFTP settings.. you can leave the tftp port blank or set it to 69, I think it's 69 anyway.

Thanks for your response. I have tried the above anyway before i made a post. I think the issue is TFTP unavailable and i have FTP into the CXi II and theres no firmware for 5320 phone. Not just any 53XX.

I have install MCD_Installation_11.0.2.19 and the C:\Program Files\Mitel\3300ICP\11.0.1.26\tftp_ip.tar has no 5320 firmware inside.

If you FTP onto the 3300 (Use Filezilla or something similar) you should be able to find the TFTP folder on there. From memory I believe the files the phones use are something like "L2_Boot_xxxxx". Where the xxxx is 53xx, Navigator etc..

If the files aren't there then it looks like you've got a corrupted version of software. Download another, backup your db, do a fresh install with your new software, restore and try again.

[EDIT]: Or get someone to send you the healthy L2 files so you can stick them in the TFTP folder...
