UCA ARID
« on: July 31, 2012, 08:21:08 AM »
We just took over another account from another VAR and the site has been neglected for several years and I am having a really hard time getting any help from the previous guys (go figure). They have UCA 2.0 "running" and it doesn't have the ARID visible anywhere, but they do have licensing. I assume that the sync was done offline and the previous VAR (only one I am aware of for this company) says that they "never had that information." They also said the same about the root level passwords, but that is an easy enough fix.

My question is, does anyone know if I can dig through this application and find the ARID? I want to put in the move request with AMC but those guys are pretty tight lipped about account information if you don't provide it.

It's been a while since I've seen a ver 2.0
Is it under 'status'?

Also a long time for me, However from memory one of the files in the Licensing folder holds the key, on the server look under program files for possibly a new heights (New Heights were the software developers at the time) folder or Mitel folder within there somewhere there is a folder called licensing and within this there are files you can open with a text editor.
It may also have been in the Sync folder?

Sorry to be vague but havnt seen one for a while.

If all else fails I would just head to the channel sales manager and raise it with them. If you explain the situation then usually they can do some background work to get the information, or make things happen.

Sorry I can't add anything about UCA 2.0 as that was well before my time. They must have been really neglected.

I have asked my CSM but nothing yet. And yes they thought they were current with 9.0 and UCA 2.0 and no SWA since 10/1/10. They are now planning upgrades. It really sucks that there are VARs out there that do nothing to help the customer out and then won't even give them the information that they own when they move vendors.

from the UCA administration tool , you should be able to right click the License info to see the ARID

We have one of that vintage installed.  I connected to it and looked for it.  I wasn't able to find the ARID either.
