My 3300 ICP occasionally goes into Night service without user input. I can see in the logs that no caller rang the Attendant, but the logs say that the Attendant Busy-out Timer expiry triggered and thus the console switched into Night.
Here is the log note:

Log Type   Maintenance
Log Number   1965
Severity   Info
Date   2012/Apr/21
Time   08:55:31
Source   Call Control - Maintenance
Description   SYSTEM SERVICE: Dept 0 now in NIGHT 1 Service. Reason: 5 Attendant Busy-out Timer expiry on Console 101.
Module   Main
File Name and Line Number   Maintenance;0

Any suggestions how to troubleshoot this?

Thanks

It's a timer in the COS of the console.
The default is 10 minutes (600 seconds).
If the console hasn't made or received any calls within the time out, the system will log the console out.  If you only have one console it will put the system in to night 1 mode.

In the timers section of the COS of the console look for (doing this from memory here) "Attendant Busy Out timer".

I think you have to change it to 1440 to disable it. Again, like Ralph, from memory so I may be wrong.
