NameTag Hunt Groups - Mitel 3300
« on: March 15, 2012, 07:09:43 AM »
Something that came up the other day, but I haven't been able to find a need for yet, and can't find anyone that can actually say what their purpose is for, apart from that's just the way I've been told to do it.

What do people use NameTag hunt groups for? I've traditionally used voice HG's and apart from RAD, Vmail, etc groups, have never had a need for NameTags as I've seen them there but never known how they differ.
I've had a read through the help files, etc, but can't find specific circumstances where you would want to use them.

The one time I played with this it appeared that once you hit a NTHG the info stays with the call.
For example, NTHG has a DID.  Call the DID and fwd to VM.   Zero out.   Xfer to another ext and get fwd to vm again it still goes into the box of the NTHG.

Hmm ok, I could see some need for that then. Can't see it happening too often, but I guess there could be a need.
