Possible Bug on Blackberry / Mobile App

I was setting up a staff person with the Smartphone app on her Blackberry.  When I chose the "test connection" box to do just that, the app told me the user wasn't licensed for Mobile Web.  Which is true.  She was licensed for Smartphone.

After checking server-manager and trying a couple more times, I decided to just hit "next" rather than "test connection." 

And it worked.

My guess in all of this is that testing the connection requires a Mobile Web license, which I didn't have to give, but actually using the app does not.
