Reg Key to Auto Start UCA?
« on: February 06, 2012, 04:20:59 PM »
While I was able to roll out the UCA via GPO, I'm still going person by person signing folks in, adding their picture, and showing them how to use it.  This isn't too bad with 65 staff.

When I log staff in, lately I've been checking off the "auto start UCA when Windows starts" box.  But not everyone has this setting set.

Has anyone looked into the MSI or some other setting to create a script via GPO to start UCA whether folks want to or not?

I guess I should check my own reg file to see if I can identify it.

So, there is no reg key I could find.  Clicking the box creates the shortcut in the windows startup menu.  So, I am using a GPO startup script - machine based rather than user based - to copy the lnk file to the machine.

The Administrator guide has a whole chapter on rolling out UCA and yes you are able to set the start up.

which guide?  I have the UC Advanced v4.1 Engineering Guidelines.  Or are you referring to a different one?

I put in a service call to get an admin guide.  The edocs site won't let me download it without a login and pwd, and I'm not a dealer.  And this site doesn't seem to have it either.
