As a VAR I've never understood that policy. I agree, the customer bought the system, they need the access and
control of the access. Will they accept the responsibilities (financial) if your system is hacked? Doubt it.
when calling an extension from the 5000 to the 3300 there is about a 30 second delay of silence and then it will ring.... any thoughts? Dealer says thats how sip works.
Not the case. I've programmed 3300 to 3300 via SIP. No delay. We're also connecting lots of SIP trunks to carriers now also. No delay.
The issue is probably caused by an interdigit timer in the COS of either the calling phone or the trunk.
