External Hotdesking
« on: August 18, 2011, 02:51:47 PM »
When i receive a call on my deskphone it also rings on my cell phone, if i answer it on the cell phone about 1 min into the call i get a busy signal and the person i am talking to gets put on hold by the 3300 as they are listening to the on hold music we have on our 3300.  not sure if there is a timeout period on the external hotdesking or if there is another issue.

Brett

Are you sure you're not hitting digit 1 by accident (hold)?

Interesting....
To get started with TS then next thing I would do is repeat it multiple times and then check the SMDR records to see if anything can be picked out based on the duration of the call.     See if happens consistently at the same time, then check your COS of your phones and trunks to see if a timer seems to apply.

What type of trunks are the calls going out on?

I don't beleive i am hitting the 1, it is possible as the phone is a touch screen.  The trunks are a PRI at the primary site and a backup PRI at the backup site, both PRI's are available at all times.

I will do some testing and see f i can get it to reoccur often enough to make the logs usable.
