Mitel SIP Loud Ringer with Teleworker

Gotta brag for a sec.
I was just able to make a SIP loud ringer work across a Teleworker sever.
This means that now I can install loud bells at remote locations.

Hadn't done it before.   

Just pat'n my self on the back.

This device was pretty cool.  You can set different ring tones, record your own ring tones or upload wav files.

I set it to a barking dog for a test.  It actually made me jump when I rang it.

It was an Algo but I don't remember the model just now.

How easy was it to setup?

Wasn't too hard to set up although it wasn't as easy as a Grandstream 286.

I really don't know where we got it.   I VP handed it to me and said "test this".

It was fun to play with.  One of the ring tones was a dog with a mean bark.   (That'll wake you up.)
It also allows you to upload your own ring tones.   I can think of a few things to do with that feature.  None of them really professional.

how does the 286 do loud ringing? 286 -> amp -> speaker ??
what would this cost??

the algo is 300+ bucks

looking to put inexpensive reliable external ringer in lunchroom kitchen

how reliable is the 286??

I suppose I can use the 286 to hook a fax machine up to my 3300??  fax -> 286 -> sip -> 3300 -> t1

The 286 can hook to any standard (non-IP) loud ringing device.
A simple chiime or tone over page.
The Algo is a stand alone unit capable of some very loud rings.

Don't know about a fax over the 286.  Never tried it.
I believe it does have T.38 capabilities but I've never experimented with it for fax.   (I did experiment with Modems and the 286 via MBG - miserable failure.  Kind of expected)
As for the reliability of the 286 we've deployed a couple of them.   Pretty much plug and forget.   No problems.
