Embedded Advanced Voicemai to Email
« on: January 16, 2009, 03:34:17 PM »
I've got two small customers, each with a CX, that have advanced voicemail. Of course the sales guy sang them the praises of voicemail to email. Here's the problem though, these are small non-profit organizations and don't have local email servers. (Both use their ISP's POP/SMTP server.) The local ISP requires authentication to send with its SMTP, anyone have any ideas? To the best of my knowledge the 3300 can't do SMTP authentication, so it fails to connect. Any help/ideas is appreciated.

Point it to your SMTP server and allow relaying from their IP.

Or set up a transport with some software that can do authentication at the customer site.
