Forum has been moved to new servers
« on: June 18, 2011, 10:08:53 AM »
You may have noticed the change.   As of Saturday, June 18, 2011, the forum has moved to a new server.

A couple of changes:
1 - The actual forum has moved to a new sub-directory.   Rather than running off of the root of the domain we are now running under www.mitelforums.com/forum.    Slight change, but gives us an opportunity to do some add ons such as how-to articles, software downloads, etc.

2- One thing that didn't move was the avatars.   I don't know if I can recover that or not.   So if you use avatars you'll have to re-upload them.

If you notice things that aren't working right please let me know.  There may be a couple of bugs I didn't catch in the transition.

If your password was under 8 characters, you are likely to have to change it to get into the system now.  Just click the "forgot password" link and it will send you an e-mail with a link that lets you reset it....

I've got some goofy things going on with the name servers.
Moved the forum over Saturday morning with godaddy.   I'd expect it would take a few hours to propagate out but what I've discovered is that some name servers still point to the old server as of Sunday morning.   Sunday afternoon it was corrected and now, Monday morning it's pointing back to the old server again.

Which all means that some people are getting the old server and some people are getting this one.

Hopefully the issue won't last long.

Ralph,
I've always had my login set to "forever." Since the move, however, I have to log in each time now.

Sorry if I've put this in the wrong place, just wasn't sure where else to go with things like this...

Thanks for letting me know.
Actually, I've got the same thing - just haven't had time to dig into it.

I've noticed that just after I installed this version (RC5) the final release came out.
I may have to upgrade again this week end.

Just an FYI

If you enter one of the forums it logs you in if you have it set to forever
