Just opened a DCR
« on: May 31, 2011, 02:00:28 PM »
I just opened a DCR to have both caller ID number and name show on 53xx phone while call is active.

When a call comes rings in, it shows both the name and number on the phone.   After you answer it, only the name shows.

Anyone getting request from customers on this?

Would you happen to have a change to test on a 5340/5330?

ON a 5330 5340 press Superkey
Settings
Call Notification
Display Call Info

Only problem is the information remains when you hang up and you have to press a key to close the dialogue box.

But...
I can't get it to work for any key other than the Prime.
Can you or is it just my system?

5340 works too. I don't have any DIDs but I tested inbound to a non-prime and transferred to prime and had the same results.

Dang it!
What ver are you running on?
Was this call answered before you took the shot?
I'm getting the same thing but then the number goes away after I answer.
If yes, any chance you can pm me the COS?

That system is running MCD 4.0 SP1.
The call had been answered already and I will send you the COS.

Here is the COS, I couldn't find a way to attach it to the DM and the text version is too messy.

Update:
The DCR was rejected.

Here's their comments;
Quote
Status: Rejected
Comments:
They can have the line appearance display caller ID. This is a class of service option.

Ok fine, but no one can tell me how to do it or what I may have gotten wrong.

Mattmayn posted a pic of his working at ver 4.0SP1.   Presented that to tech support since the initial result was that is the way it works.
Now suspecting difference in software levels.

Mattmayn sent me his COS and I matched it on my system: ver 4.2 - still failed.
Tested one this morning at same version(4.0 SP1) and failed.

I just talked to my customer he informed me that now his users are saying that it works on one phone but not another.  <huh!>
My next step is to chase that a bit to see if I can see differences in phones.

Mitel just duped the issue in lab.
So far as I can see it wasn't working on 10.0.1.21, works on 10.1.22, but now doesn't work.

Do you know if the call notification window on 5330,5340 pops for non-prime keys?

Update:
Regarding the call notification screen:
When my user explained that it worked for one phone but not the other, they were transferring from the Non-Prime button on the 1st phone to the prime of the second.   It works on prime line.
