Divert DDI calls to one mailbox
« on: May 20, 2011, 05:05:54 AM »
All DDi calls to extns divert on no reply to reception phone  (x 261). On night service ( x261) forwards to mail. The customer wants all the calls to leave their messages in mailbox 261. It seems the messages are left in the mailboxes of the originally dialled DDi extns. Is this correct can i get the messages to be left in mailbox 261?
Thanks for any help.

Any call that is delivered at VoiceMail will report the first dialed number and the system will try to open the corresponding MB box. If they don't have one, then the system will ask for the VMbox to leave the massge in. You can create personal VM boxes for all users and use the distribution list to forward all callers into the main VM box.

You can pull some "tricks" to get it in different mail boxes.
We used to set up dummy ACD paths for this - Mind you, it has to be a unique number.
You should also be able to fwd it to a "Name Tag" hunt group.  That should accomplish the same thing.
