Newbie Q: Fwd No Answer to Voicemail
« on: March 15, 2011, 03:35:25 PM »
I created a new extension. on the 5220 phone I set up a a multicall so they have two DID buttons.
I want voice mail to pick up after 4 rings.  I typed  *60,399 (which is my vmail extension) and now voice mail picks up after 0 rings. what am I doing wrong?

Thanks

*60 (in your case) is "Call forward Always"  You phone will never ring.
Dial #60 to resolve this.

Next, log into your system, go to all forms listed alphabetically and look up the feature access code assignment form.
Look for call forwarding ring no answer code.

Or, go to the change attributes form, look up the extension, enter a "2" under "call rerouting 1st alt".   This will forward on a busy/RNA to vm.
