FoIP on Mitel 5000

Hi,

Me again. We hope to use fax-over-ip on the Mitel 5000.

The idea is to have a software fax server (such as GFI Faxmaker - http://www.gfi.com/faxmaker) handling faxes from the Mitel 5000. The Mitel brochure says the 5000 supports, and I quote, "built in fax over IP (T.38)".

I spoke with GFI and they said any phone system which can act as a VOIP gateway will work with their FaxMaker product.

Has anyone used FoIP with the Mitel 5000?

T.38 is only used when faxing between 5000's on an IP Network eg New York and Chicago
