DID FWD to Cell Ad-Hoc
« on: June 19, 2025, 02:58:46 PM »
I have a client that has the following. MiVoice 250 - HX Controller v6.2 SP1 - 6.2.3.53

Current Programming:
Call Routing Table 1 Day

DID -> Hunt Group 2004 -> Extension List Phones/Voice Processors Applications P004 -> 9 Extensions in the list including x262-> ext 262

Client Request/Requirements:
Client would like to FWD x262 Ad-Hoc to a cell phone number.
They would like the caller to leave a voicemail message on that cell phone number.

Is this as simple as Forwarding the phone x262 to the cell phone?

Process for User:
They user would pickup x262, dial 355,8 plus 10 digit phone number.
To Cancel user would pickup x262, dial #355

esoare,

The short answer is no, that won't work the way it is programmed or at least the way I think you explained it is programmed.

When there are multiple extensions in a Hunt Group it will not follow any other types of routing.

The ONLY time a Hunt Group will allow a call to follow MANUAL forwarding or DEE is when that user is the ONLY user in that Hunt Group.

If your call flow is stating that the call leaves the Hunt Group via the Recall to extension 262 then it will follow ANY forwarding or DEE associated with it.

I hope that helps.

Thanks,

TE

ok. that makes sense.

Night Mode, Making the CRT2 replicate CRT1, Still ring the member, but have a shorter "recall" timer to x262 which would be forwarded to the cell phone.

I poked around a bit, is there an automated day/night mode on this older software?
Or
Does the site have to do the 9861/9862 to manually change the mode.

So far, I think this would work:

Process for site for Night mode:

Place system in Night using 9861
FWD x262 using 355 + 8 + Ten digit number + #

Process for site for Day mode:

Place system in Day using 9862
Cancel FWD x262 using #355

esoare,

There isn't an automatic Day/Night mode on any version of the software.

There is however a Schedule Time-Based Application Router that would probably do what you want it to.

You can find that in Voice Processor > Devices > Applications, and I suggest using F1 to read about it.

If you use a STAR for this, you would send the calls to the STAR first and let it determine what to do based on time.

As for your solution, that would work too, for as they say, "there is more than one way to skin a cat".

Thanks,

TE
