Migration tool faults

I just thought I would write this up as a warning for others looking to migrate older controllers at this time. Last nights job was a nightmare.

We had an MXe III on MCD 7.1 to take to version 10. This should be best achieved using the migration tool and doing a full migration.

First obstacle was migration tool 9.4.  It refused to do a pre migration check. It said it couldn

You can't go from 7.1 directly to 10... You have to upgrade to the latest 8.0 release, then migrate... if the pre-check fails, you have to correct those items first, until the premigration check passes, then you can continue.

I think the problem with it only posting half the post has to do with the preview.
At the moment there isn't a fix for it.
If you post it without using preview it works OK.  If you need to correct something then the edit feature also works OK.
