Seeking assistance
« on: October 26, 2024, 05:40:34 PM »
I am not a Mitel installer, but have installed Nortels, ESIs and 3CX. I have a non-profit with a 250 system running on an HX controller and (4) 5320e handsets.  Three hand sets won't connect to the system, one does.  The one that does works, but can't release the night ring setting -- errors with something about the feature isn't supported.  I can get to the webpage for the login on the system, but I don't have the password and tried all the usual ones.  The company that sold the equipment was purchased by another company and they don't want to service it.  They said it's passed EOL and they can't get someone out for more than a month.  I'm looking to pay for assistance to get into it since I'm really not familiar with Mitel systems.  I have the programming manual for the thing - but I'm really not sure how the MiNET protocol works with the handsets.  I need to at least figure out how to get into the system to turn on and off the night ring setting that is send all inbound calls to VM.

You need special software to change the programming from the Mitel downloads page, which is located behind a partner only login portal.  If you don't know the password to the system you'd have to have a Mitel partner open a ticket for a password recovery which costs a few hundred dollars.  With only 4 phones it might be cheaper to factory default the system and have somebody just reprogram it real quick.  A system that size should be 30 minutes or so to reconfigure from scratch.
