Change operator number from 0 to 9
« on: September 26, 2024, 08:02:15 PM »
Hi,
Certified but a newbie here for MiVB. Can someone let me know which references to consult in changing the default 0 to 9? We are installing in a country where they use 9 for operator calls and 0 for making external calls. Even some of the Form labels refer to "0" for operator.

Is it as simple as changing the extension on operator (0) mailbox and creating a speed dial for 9 to reach the attendant extension?
BR

Yeah, pretty much... Provided your ARS isn't using 9 as it's outgoing access digit, if it is you will have to adjust that first.

Again, each setup is unique so using "LOCATE NUMBER" in maintenance might be helpful if you run into conflicts.

Thanks, acejavelin! Yup, I'll have a look at the number plan and verify through LOCATE NUMBER.
