Can't power on vMiVB server after .ova deployment

VMware 8
Tried both 9.4.1.21 and 10.1.0.27

When I fill out the .ova template, I'm unable to enter an IP address or gateway. When I try to power on the virtual machine, I get:

Operation failed!

Task name   Power On virtual machine
Target   vMiVB
Status   Property 'Default Gateway Address' must be configured for the VM to power on.

Anyone seen this before?

Ended up having to:

Unzip .ova file
Edit .ovf file
Manually hardcode netmask0, gateway, and ip0 with my network info
Get new SHA256 of .ovf
Update .mf file
Then deploy .ova contents in vSphere again (just select the files you extracted).
