MiVB 8.0 PR3 transfer delay
« on: May 12, 2023, 10:27:03 AM »
It seems like in the last couple of weeks folks started reporting a 3 or 4 second delay between the time they press the transfer key and the transfer actually takes place. If they hit transfer and hang up, the transfer doesn't take place.

I have tested it on a few phones, across several keys and inputting the extension numbers manually.

What could cause a delay in activating transfer?

Jim

I figured it out...

The transfer delay was only for transfers to CDE speedcall 3 digit numbers.

When I added a # to end of the digits, the delay went away.

Sounds like you have a conflict in your dialing patterns...

Where would be the 1st place to start looking for the conflict?

DG TRACE in Maintenance Commands would be a start. If 123 is one of your speed calls that requires a # to complete, I'd do a "DGT TRACE 1231" up to 1239 to see what those 4 digit numbers are, then go from there.

OK, thanks for the tips!

I did find a conflict (fairly obvious once I thought about it...)
