Mivoice business set up
« on: May 19, 2022, 03:50:52 AM »
Just looking for a bit of info here all. We have the MiVoice business console (not sure on version) set up on 2x PCs for reception and they're using usb wired/wireless headsets and they're causing no end of problems with the software losing sight of them and having to go into the settings and select them again or move the device to a different port. We've tried many different makes/models etc.

Now my question is, Can the software be used with a physical mitel handset (not connected to the PC)? I'm sure I've seen it somewhere online or in some documentation before but can't find any info on it. If so, is it easy to configure?

Cheers.

Jabra Handset 450

apologies, I meant a Mitel handset separate from the PC. I will update my post.

You can not pair any phone with the console in a ring group, you can for example create an overflow to a deskphone or use night rerouting to a deskphone.

Or you can use the micollab legacy client with the console option and a Mitel deskphone if available.

Wish the 3300 had sub attendant ability. Getrs me to ask how are people setting up front desk at hotel/motel sites now? Seems a console is a burden IMHO.
