Howto Clear a HG Member?
« on: October 30, 2008, 03:21:32 PM »
Currently we have a huntgroup that has a member that looks like it is on hold.  You dont have ability to pick it up or from what I can tell clear it.  Changing the phone (IP 5224) does not change anything.  You cant use OPS MGR or go directly onto the 3300 to clear the key or even change the ring type because the system thinks the line is in use.  I am also not finding a Clear or RTS command to use in maintenance that works for a HG Member.

If you try calling the member directly, it takes you to voice mail but because there is no voice mail for that number you just get the standard greeting.  You are able to call the other members of the HG without any problems.

Thanks

Sounds as if it is forwarded.
Hit the line on any phone, then dial the clear all features code, or the cancel call forwarding all code.

If this doesn't work, find any other phone, be sure it's class of service alls it to "clear all features remote" and then dial the Remote clear all feature code + the number of the line.

That should clear it.

BTW - I have an open ticket with your partner.  No problem if you need me to work with you.  Just call.

I have tried both of these options and I am getting "Not allowed".  I think this is because you cant clear a HG Member.  I have also tried the HG Pilot number and Extension that routs to the HG.

I will also see if Don will approve some of those hours to be spent on this.

Could the member possibly be in DND?

Yes.   Use the remote clear DND feature code to cancel it.
Before you do thought, go to the command line of the switch it registered to and enter the command "Loc Fe ex <extn num of key>.  That may show you exactly what is going on.

When running the Located Feacher Extension, this is what is found:

LOCATE: Non prime extension number.
Active Features :
LOCATE: Non prime extension number.
Active Features :

Then when doing the remote DND clear, when you go to type in the second digit, the system does not allow you to typing it into the phone.  I believe this happens because this number is not in the extension range but higher in the 4000's rang.

You should be able to clear a DND from any phone in the network as long as the COS allows.
But it doesn't look as if that number has any features applied to it.

So next try this commands:
Loc ex <any extension where the key appears - not the key itself>
STAT MLS <Plid fo the phone> (i.e.: STAT MLS 1 3 1 16 (note: only enter the first 4 numbers of the PLID))

This will show what the system thinks the status of the line is.

Are you able to delete the line?

Ok,

I now think we are getting some place.  I was able to pull the state information for the different lines of the phone and here is the readout:

  Shelf Cir   |                            |    Line    |   Line   |  Process
Cab  Slot Line|      Installed  Card       |    Type    |   State  | ID  |Status
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
 1  3  2 12  1|MC125AA IP Line             | single line| mls_idle |     |
 1  3  2 12  3|MC125AA IP Line             | key system | flashing |2 061| Wait
 1  3  2 12  5|MC125AA IP Line             | key system | mls_idle |     |
 1  3  2 12  7|MC125AA IP Line             | key system | mls_idle |     |
 1  3  2 12  9|MC125AA IP Line             | key system | mls_idle |     |
 1  3  2 12 11|MC125AA IP Line             | key system | mls_idle |     |
 1  3  2 12 13|MC125AA IP Line             | key system | mls_idle |     |
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

As you can see the Status of line 3 is "Wait".  Now according to the help files: "WAIT: Process is waiting for an event such as a time delay or a message."  The issue with the time delay is that this phone has had this issue for over 24 hours and no timers can go that long.

Is there a command that can be used to either delete or clear line "1 3 2 12 3"?

NVM, I got it.  Thank you for pointing to the Plid.  I used the Busy command to stop all services to that location ID and then RTS to turn it back on and it is good to go now.
