How can I see the boot progress?

Hello,
When my switch couldn't boot, then how can I see what happened? Can I use console cable to see the boot progress? I mean is something like https://www.howtoforge.com/images/centos_8_server/centos-8-minimal-2020-07-16-15-56-11.png

Just plug into the RS232 port on the front, use a terminal (most people I know use TeraTerm) and set it for 9600-8N1 and you can watch the boot process.

You need a physical serial port... either built in your laptop (extremely rare now days) or via USB. If you are going to get one, this only needs a cheap one but I recommend investing in a Digi Edgeport/1 USB device if you will be doing much with things like routers or older telecom equipment as it can map itself to COM1/2 necessary with some older software. Other than that, your software is not really relevant, as long as it support a basic terminal. The display needed by the 3300 doesn't need to be anything special, but we typically use TeraTerm for everything RS232 related. https://ttssh2.osdn.jp/index.html.en that said, I believe Putty connected to the correct serial COM port would work as well.
