Logging into 6920 5330e Phones Changes
« on: November 04, 2020, 10:42:33 AM »
MiVB 9.x.  Hot Desk User logged into a 6920 phone with EHS settings from their regular 5330e IP Phone with mechanical handset lifter.    User has now logged back into the 5330e IP, however there are now some differences.  It’s as if the 5330e phone settings have changed.  As if something in the PBX is ‘stuck’ with the 6920.

No Dial Tone when lifting the handset.  User must lift the handset, then press the line 1 button to hear dial tone.
Pressing the hands free button does nothing, you must press the Line 1 button to hear very low dial tone. You must adjust the volume level to hear dial tone each time.
Pressing digits will select line 1 and activate hands free (very low volume).

Using the STATE EXT command for the Idle Set returns the correct Idle Set extension and Phone Model.  Same command for the user extension shows logged into the correct Idle Set.
The phone set has been rebooted several times.  Other than the user logging into a different model phone (with specific settings for EHS and hands-free), nothing has changed on the original 5330e phone.

Anyone experience this ‘fun’?  How to reset the phone back to normal?  The 5330 guide mentions dialing 319 which is invalid in my site.

Thanks!

Resolved.

Headset Feature was enabled in the PBX for each extension.

Headset key was added to each extension to allow user to toggle off / on from the 5330e IP Phone.
