Mitel 5330 Stuck in DHCP
« on: November 03, 2020, 08:48:49 AM »
Good day all,
I recently got some decom phones (Some which were still new in box)
One of the phones is an Mitel 5330, first couple of times it booted fine and got an DHCP address but sadly due to the version the web UI is disabled so i cant set it up.
After some time it stopped getting an IP and DHCP times out.
If i set an static IP and ping my gateway and DHCP server it can reach it, but DHCP will just not work.
If i connect an different phone to the same cable it gets an DHCP fine and can connect to my internal TFTP for an update and my 3cx(Even tho it fails to register for some bizar reason)

Do any of you know what can be the cause or an fix, i already checked if it can get an IP in mivoice mode and it seems to not work there anymore either.

Look around, I share a load to get even newer phones functional, might fix the older ones too.

sounds like its in minet mode
 - no web interface for that and it wont boot properly unless it gets an option 125 and connects to a mcd.

power cycle it and hold down the grey blue button ( above red hold key)
then select config phone ( navigate using * & #)
go down to phone mode and select it
then change from minet to sip , when the phone reboots it should have a web interface you can access
