DB Programming for Mitel 5000 cannot start
« on: May 27, 2020, 04:52:18 PM »
Hello,
We have Mitel 5000 system and I received an error when I started DB Programming.
I saw in Control Panel that I have 2 versions installed of Microsoft Access Database Engine.
I uninstalled one of the Microsoft Access Database Engines. Now I have only one Microsoft
Access Database Engine. When I run DB Programming now I receive another error. You can
see the error which I receive and the versions of the installed software in the attached file.

Can you please help me to fix this error ? Which version of Microsoft Access Database Engine
I should have and from where I can download it ?

krasi69,

All you need to do is delete both version of Microsoft Access DB and then reinstall your Mitel System Administration and Diagnostics. That should reinstall the correct version of Microsoft Access DB for you and link it up.

Thanks,

TE

Thank you Tech Electronics,
I have the following installation files:

6_0_11_84-DBP_Plugin-64bit.exe
6_3_84_0-SysAd_6_3_7_84-DBP-64bit.exe

Do I have to install both of them ?

Krasi69,

That all depends on what version your phone system needs to work off of.

The top executable, 6_0_11_84-DBP_Plugin-64bit.exe, is just a plugin and would need to be installed after the second one 6_3_84_0-SysAd_6_3_7_84-DBP-64bit.exe as it is the program that runs the plugin. This executable, 6_3_84_0-SysAd_6_3_7_84-DBP-64bit.exe, also has a plugin built into it that will ask if you want to install it.

So, if you don't need the plugin 6_3_7_84-DBP-64bit, then don't install that and then run the other plugin.

Thanks,

TE
