Hardware Indentifier not correctly installed
« on: November 16, 2010, 05:21:07 PM »
Guys,
I getting an error message "Hardware Indentifier not correctly installed, License & Options can not be programmed"
I am programming a 3300 MXe, i installed a second processor (E2T), Echo Cancellator.

Can someone help me how i can resolved this error message, because it won't let me download the license & options.

Thanks,

Sounds like your sys ID button has gone bad.
Any change you can put it in a different system, boot it, and check to see if it's missing there too?

Hi Ralph,

It was indeed the I-Button.
I replaced the I-Button with a new one and the system read the hardware indentifier.

Thanks,

Gianni

Sorry for possibly stealing your thread gimitel, but Ralph, have you seen many i-buttons go bad before? This is the first time I've ever heard of such a thing.

No I haven't.
I can only remember one sysID going bad and that was the chip version.
But then, since I work out of our remote center that may be something the field techs see more often than I would.
