navigator, pc connection
« on: November 16, 2010, 10:37:12 AM »
Hello

I have installed my Navigator now and I would also like to use the Navigator taskbar on my PC.
But it seems that the taskbar cannot connect to the phone. (error message: connection to the phone was terminated)
During my search for a solution I found out that on 5330,5340 and 6360 there is the option "pc connection" at the setup menu. On my navigator I don't have the option... and I think that maybe the reason why the taskbar cannot reach the phone.

Does someone know how to enable the PC connection option on the navigator?

Reboot the phone while holding the volume up arrow it will get you into a menu. I don't have one in front of me to test with but its something like enable PC mode or something similar.

I use a navagitor.
Hold the vol up and vol down arrows together then let up on vol down so you're only holding the vol up key.
Then dial 234.
You should be in set up.
Press the No button until you see "tools and features" then press yes.
Note:  "ERASE PIN" is not what you're looking for so say "no".
Press no until you get to task bar set up and press yes.
This is where you enable it.
Next is password.   I know there's a default (may PcConnect?) but I'm not sure what it is so I always do something like ',,,,' then press the vol down arrow and say no until you can exit out of the menus.

Hello again

thank you very much for your help. I figured out how to go into the setup mode and I also set a pin like  ',,,,'
when I want to connect to the phone now with the taskbar software then the connection always terminates. but the password has to be correct because when I type in a wrong password it instantly tells me that I have put in a wrong one.

so.. correct password, correct IP.. but still no connection :-(

maybe you can help me once more?

thank you in advance,
mowel

Does the COS of the phone have HCI control enabled?

Now I'm baffled.   This does sound familiar to me though.
I'll ask around to me team mates.
