OCS/Lync Intergration

Hi, I am curently trying out the RC of Lync server - looks great.  I would like to implement it with dual forking and RCC with our 3300s.  Does anyone know what extra Mitel software and licences is required for this?  Thanks

I've seen the term "dual forking" before and have to admit I can't describe what it is.
Could you enlighten me?

I would be VERY intertested in hearing from anyone who has managed to connect Lync to the 3300's using live business gateway or other.  We are currently trialling Lync and it is excellent in its own right but phone integration would be great.

There shouldn't be a need to use LBG.
There is a document from Mitel explaining how to establish a SIP trunk between the mediation server and MCD, which removes the need for LBG all together. I haven't tried Lync yet, but OCS does work.
I can't find a link to the document at the moment on MOL, but it is there somewhere!

I have got Lync setup and working with a MCD 4.2 CX

i have full call control just one issue

if i call from a mitel desk phone to a Lync softphone and the softphone does not get anserwed it forwards to the Mitel voicemail and i hear the greating of the calling party not the softphone

can anyone help ?

Could you please let us know what you did to get the RCC working ?  Did you also get a sip trunk running between the mitel and Lync server ?

Yes that would be great to know as I have been told by multiple engineers that the intergration is in the works but no timeline as of now for LYNC support the only thing to currently do that I am aware of is enterprise voice (sip trunking).

I am using dual 3300's with an OCS  to LBG connection, specifically for softphone capabilites. LBG provide the gateway between these 2 silos of technology. I heard from my innerconnect that Microsoft is severing their support with OCS / LYNC to announc their new PBX offering later this year. Sooooo
I am jumping onto the Mitel UCA bandwagon....

Well Lync is a lot better of a pbx than the first stab at it and yes ocs to lbg works the integration to Lync is still up in the air. UC still has a long ways to go in my opinion and with all the hype and work into Lync I am suprised that Microsoft would slash that piece to come out with just a PBX. Directly from their launch party is was stated that the era of the pbx was over.
