We have a 5324 IP phone where the hang up switch is acting up, so I would like to pick up a refurbished 5324 and move the existing PKM IM and PKM 12 to it.
Not a Mitel tech by any stretch, but the instructions I have found online don't look too bad.
Is it relatively easy to do? I do a fair bit of work on PCs.
Do I have to do a lot of changes on the 3300 to get it up an working after?
It is fairly simple actually, you remove the old blanking plate, add the new PKM Module using the same screw from the old blanking module (don't lose it) and power plug (if applicable, been awhile since I did one on a 5324, it is a small "jumper" that plugs into the back of the phone's mainbaord), connect the PKM and assign the PKM in the 3300 User & Services configuration section under Device Details. There is a PKM drop-down selection, just pick PKM 12 and Save Changes and then go to the Keys tab and you will see the new keys.
Just look at the old one and move the module over the same way.
Remember you will need to either change the MAC address in the Device Details or do a FAC replacement vs PIN.
