Cordless headset Suggestions for Mitel 8568/8528?
« on: May 29, 2018, 11:32:26 AM »
Can someone suggest a cordless headset for Mitel 8568/8528 digital phones?  I have a customer that just purchased a Plantronics CS540 and it will not work with headset port/headset key on phone.  Called Plantronics.... Only way it will work is to use the handset port with the splitter cord they send....if you use it that way the handset must be taken off hook.  Junk!!   Any suggestions is appreciated!!

We only use Plantronics... look into the CS540 with HL10 Lift Kit, or you can buy the HL10 lifter separately.

Did Plantronics not mention that option?

BTW, headsets.com is super helpful with any application related stuff... No, I am not affiliated with them in any way.

Come to find out all cordless headsets will not work on Mitel 8568/8528 without the handset lifter and connected to the handset port.  Limitation of the Mitel headset port.  I will have they customer order the CS 540 with handset lifter.  Thanks for the help

We have hundreds of Plantronics headsets with lifters installed on 8520/8560, 8528/8568 and 5320/5330 phones. There's even a bunch of CS55 units still in service, and they were discontinued seven years ago. Not junk.
