Random handsfree and no headset on 5324
« on: May 15, 2018, 11:43:33 AM »
I have a client running version 11.0.2.19 on a CX-II 512MB RAM. I am not yet the vendor of record.

Four months ago there was a phone randomly going to handsfree so we switched it out for one that was unused in another office.
Two months ago the reception phone was doing the same thing so I replaced it with one from my spares pile.
Yesterday I got a message that another phone just started doing the same thing.

This is starting to look like a trend to me. These have all been 5324 phones.

Any idea what would cause this issue?

Maybe there is a button on the phones near the handset that keeps getting accidentally hit or they are inadvertently dialing a feature code. If they give you access to the CX-II the log should show by who and when the feature got activated.

We had this problem after a MXE upgrade with 5312 and 5324 phones. In the end they sent us a custom firmware for our TFTP and they ended up releasing a patch for the problem afterwards. I don't have the file anymore, but you should open a ticket with Mitel for this.
