SIP DECT 112 Cordless phones. Line question.
« on: April 20, 2018, 11:22:30 AM »
Is there a way to choose an outgoing line from the phone?  Customer needs to grab a specific line for international calling.  Is there a feature code for this?  Thanks in advance.

Markpie,

No there isn't a feature code specific for this, but you can put that specific line in a CO Trunk Group by itself, and then under that CO Trunks groups Toll Restriction you would check the box next to Exempt from ARS Only.

Then that user could dial the 92xxx extension associated with that CO Trunk Group which would then grab that trunk or trunks under it and allow them to call out.

If you can program a speedcall button on the cordless phone you can have it dial the 92xxx number for them.

Thanks,

TE

Just build ARS properly and use it for all outbound calls. It will be invisible to the end users.
