Mitel 5000 LS ports

Have a 5000 6.2 with 20 analog lines, everything is fine except for 1 line that has burned out port 1 of the onboard 
LS ports twice!
Had Frontier check the line for excess voltage and they say the line is within specs.
Have gone through 2 processor modules since I have no other available ports to use. (Customer won't go to T-1)
If a call comes in there is a loud squeal on the line.
Anyone seen this, or know what is going on?

The problem could be excess loop current, not high voltage.

Go to sandman.com and read some excellent tutorials on phone line issues. I recently purchased some loop current regulators from them for a site with similar issues. Since it's an intermittent problem, time will tell if it's solved.

Totally agree with DND ON on this, check the loop current... I don't use a voltmeter, just an old 965 if I can find it or a butt-set with a loop current display. You want to see loop current 23-28mA ideally, and it can go up to 35mA without much issue. If I start seeing much more than that, really need to limit the loop current with regulators because telco won't do anything, to them anything over 23mA is fine.

I have seen some rural locations with loop current in excess of 75mA, that will fry a modern key system's CO ports in nothing flat.

Thanks guys, I believe that is the problem, just frustrated with Telco.
Have to bite the bullet on this one.
