BUT you will of course then get ringing when the call connects....

That's the problem he's trying to avoid.

I will try something with the SNMP Trap.  I will send the trap with ER Notification enable to a server and see what I can do with the trap.

There's something I have a big interest in seeing.
If you can make that work I'd like to talk some more about it.

from the OP....." When I press the button I (logically) get a dial tone. This is what I need to avoid."

Just another thought......programme a headset key and a dss/blf key next to it and press the headset key then the dss key and it will dial silently. Tested and works.

There's a thought.
How about a system speed dial code that dials the headset feature code, pauses a sec, then dials a special hunt group?

I think you would get dial tone before the headset feature code becomes operational....... my way (Manually) its all silent.

I did the talk battery to trunk thing with a line sensing relay that triggered an alarm dialer connected to an ons port. It was triggered via a dts key, after thinking about it further I might have put 2 relays in line on using NO contacts for the alarm dialer and one with NC to open the circuit up and make it hang up. There was some audible sidetone since they weren't using headset.

Wow!  I can't believe we're talking relays.  ( I know, I started it )  Welcome back to the 90's.

I know this thread is way old. But I’m hoping for a reply. is this speed dial option possible? I’m running into troubles and I saw an article that said you can’t pause a multi line feature code.
