Thoughts on release 8?
« on: October 17, 2017, 12:55:39 PM »
What is the collective impression of MiVB release 8?

Mine is that it seems to be a fair bit buggier than releases that preceded it.  I have only upgraded [or deployed new] a few systems to rel 8 and all bar one of them has had one strange problem or another.

Zero issues on new systems deployed with 8.0

Upgrades are a different story, in general we have no issues, but when we do it has a tendency to go back to old data that was never quite right to begin with.

Then there is the whole 5235 phone issue... but that is a different story.

When I make a small change like Cos for any user.  The extension disappear from users and devices configuration forms. Then I have to execute gw user repair.... in maintenance form . Then I can see again my user .

Got a few fairly service impacting issues logged, so far all are said to be resolved in sp3 which is not far off
