Restoring Database on a seperate controller

Guys,

I have to perform a system restore this morning on our lab environment before fixing the database and restoring it remotely at a customer location. It is telling me that I have to perform a manual reboot, but there isn't a reboot command in the list of Maintenance Commands. I did find a Reset System command, but it states that it won't reboot the APC. Is the reset command sufficient for this process since the manual doesn't state how to actually perform the manual reboot?

Have you considered to log into the server manager and perform the reboot from the APC?

Apparently the Reset System command does work as I just finished the process of clearing out all of the physical hardware.

The problem we were having is that the original technician had restored a DB from a physical MXe into a Virtual MCD without removing the programming from the physical unit hardware, Embedded Analog, T-1/E-1, etc.. So I had to go in this morning and move the DB over to our Lab equipment and remove all of that information. Unfortunately this is the first time I ever had to restore a DB into a system so I was unfamiliar with the process.

As you have found reset system does reboot the controller.
APC = Application Processor Card (you used to be able to purchase a mini PC board that mounted inside the chassis that ran MAS)
It was under powered and not really sold a lot as a dedicated server was preferred.

You could reset this on its own without rebooting the controller.

"reset system" is the maintenance command you want. Or, you can go old-school and do "load 1 1".
