Connecting Polycom VVX 500 to Mitel 5000 v6.0

Having issues connecting this as a SIP device.  All help would be greatly appreciated.  Thank you!!

What problem are you having and what have you tried? This device is pretty simple to setup on the 5000... set sip server to the the 5000's IP,  username and login to ext # and set password to match ext password, turn off all authentication in sip peer profile.

lol... no, the 5000 *IS* the SIP server. I meant in the vvx500 you set the sip server address to the 5000's IP address

Thanks Ace.  Have you hooked up 3rd party IP phones to the 5000?  I would hope they work better than a single line / analog device.

Sure, plenty, Grandstream, Polycom, Algo, Aastra, SpectraLink, Yealink, etc... any generic SIP device will work, although to say they work better than a single line analog device could be debatable. If features are the key, use a MiNET (Mitel proprietary) phone.
