Upgrading 3300
« on: June 22, 2017, 11:05:01 AM »
I have a 3300 on Release level 7.2, Active Software load 13.2.0.17.  Would I run an upgrade or full install when going to Release Level 8.0 PR3, Active Load 14.0.0.97?

Either would work, there is no need to do a full install though, just do an upgrade.

Thank you ace.  I am thinking of doing an online upgrade.  If I read this correctly, it basically prepares the system for the upgrade, runs through and all I would need to do is a reboot and the new version would be in place.  It is a small system, only 36 phones on it, no voicemail.

To be honest, on a system that size you won't notice a significant difference either way, a off-line upgrade might be a few minutes quicker but not significantly... If it was hundreds of phones it does make a difference time wise, but when it's all done it's the same end result.
