MAS NuPoint and SMB1 Issues
« on: May 16, 2017, 10:51:03 PM »
Since the May 12th Ransomware attack, we have disabled SMB1 on our core server/network.  The downside to this is that the MAS Nupoint now fails when trying to back up to our storage (because it uses SMB1).  Has anybody else experienced this, and is there a known workaround for resolution?  Could this be as simple as updating the firmware, or is the MAS NuPoint not compatible with SMB2?

The help files in MiCollab say that it also supports SFTP. I have not tried it so not sure on what is needed.

I think that sftp will be the way to go. Look at core ftp if going to a windows box

Yes SFTP is an option; however, in a MS environment we would have to integrate 3rd party tools for it to work correctly.  Now FTPS would be better, but we get what we get.
