3300 6.0 SP2 w/ MAS 5.0 and NuPoint 16 upgrade?
« on: December 23, 2016, 07:48:15 AM »
Our provider has been mentioning to us that a system upgrade would be good however we haven't had any major issues and I haven't really found anything that makes me think spending the money and having the downtime are worth it.  The only thing I am seeing now from the MAS standpoint is it still is using SSL 3.0 so I'm looking at upgrading that side with the NuPoint as of right now.  Are there anythings on the new release of the 3300 that stand out and may be worth doing that as well?  Thanks.

Latest MAS (now MiCollab)  7.2.2.13 does not support 3300 6.0 SP2

Honestly, the upgrades are pretty easy and generally painless... upgrade annually to stay current even if you don't see a need to. You pay for SWA, use it, if something happens where you need support being relatively current will save a lot of troubleshooting/upgrading time. The most common answer tech support has regardless of the problem if you more than 2 revs out is upgrade first, then we will look at it.

I experienced an issue with windows 10 and iPhone users being unable to use UCA (MiCollab) because of the outdated security in 5.0. As lowradiation says, SP2 is not compatible with the new MiCollab. You'll need to upgrade to 6.0 SP3 first, but really if you do that you should go to 7, unless you're still using perihperal nodes.
