3300 CXi Night Service File Change
« on: July 14, 2010, 06:14:16 AM »
Hello,

Would it be possible for someone to advise how to change the file that plays our out of hours Night Service message on the 3300 CXi system?

I can see the hold music data file within the system administartor settings but can't seem to see where the night service data file is located / changed?

Any advise / suggestions would be appreciated

Many thanks

Within the voicemail section, under the System Setting sub-folder, there is a "VM Business Hours Settings" form that will let you do it. Otherwise, you'll need to call into the Administrator's mailbox and I believe that you can change the hours of operation in there as well.

Many thanks for your reply,

I have logged into this section and it allows me to change the business hours or weather the system greeting is based on the business hours within the list or the ICP day/night mode - but it does not allow me to actually change the audio file for the out of hours service message.

If you could advise where the audio file is located / how to update the out of hours audio file I would really appreciaate it,

We also have a "on hold" message that I am worried I will overwrite with the out of hours message if I upload it in the wrng area

Any help or advise would be greatly appreciated

Many thanks

Clive

Sorry, misunderstood what it was you were looking for.

To upload the Day/Night greetings, you go into the same form as Music On Hold, "System Audio Files Update."

There are a series of radio buttons that you use to choose what type of file your uploading/where you want it uploaded to.

You just need to make sure you've selected the Auto-Attendant radio button.

Many thanks for all your help on this,

I can now attempt to upload the file but it is now telling me that the *.wav file type I am trying to upload is incorrect - I don't suppose you know the correct *.wav file type the system requires so I can alter it?

Thanks again for your help,

Really appreciated

Clive

Clive, you can look in the help and it will tell you the specific type, but it needs to be a .wav saved a 8-bit Mono, U-Law  or A-Law

Open it up in Windows recorder.  Click "Save As" and change the file type to be 8bit mono, ALaw.
