Snom and 3300
« on: May 27, 2010, 01:55:06 PM »
Hi everyone,

I have successfully install a snom 320 on the 3300 but I'm battling to get multipal incoming calls working.

Any advice, Mitel is new to me.

Thanks

Interesting.   I've wondered how a Snom would work.   Be sure to update us with how you like it.

If it works like the other phones I've worked with, 1st thing is to be sure you program more than one line in the 3300 for the phone.   I'd program them as Multicall lines for simplicity if you can.
After that, I would have to think you'd browse to the Snom and program a second line on it.

Like Ralph said adding a multicall on the multiline set key assignment should do the work.

We have deployed a site with snom 300 and underneath I will put the changes we made in order for the phone to work properly with our MXe.

- Under RTP menu disable "RTP encryption" (when enabled you can experience that calls dialed from the snom to other phones hangs up right after answering).
- Still on RTP menu change the "Codec 2 until 7" to "G.711a" (In case you experience noise or one sound and you are sure it isn't a network issue).
- Under SIP menu "Support broken registrar" choose "On" (by default disabled. We experienced that without turning this option on the Snom phone would be unavailable).

This were changes that worked for us.

Thank you very much,

I will try that.

What version do you run on the snom and can you send me a copy of your .php file.
