I may be having a bit of a moment here, but is there any way to forward all external calls to another external number, on the Mitel 5000 CP?
I have a customer who needs to shut down their office for several hours next week for operations reasons, and they need all of their calls forwarded to an alternate location.
Any help will be much appreciated!
Thanks,

jo3bolton,

Sure you can, but is the 5000 still going to be operational when they shut down the office or is this just that the people are not taking calls that day?

If you want the 5000 to handle it then create a phantom extension and then manually forward all call to it to the external number then direct all calls to that phantom extension. Keep in mind that each call will take up two lines so they can only have half as many calls as normal.

You could also do this with DEE if the system is capable of doing it.

Thanks,

TE
