Twinning set up for an MCD 3300 ICP 6.0 SP1
« on: August 21, 2014, 09:45:12 AM »
Hey eveyrone

does anyone have a set up doc for twinning or can you point me to somewhere that explains twinning and how to set it up ? Having a heck of a time trying to grasp it and understand  it as the manuals are not really good in explanation details

Problem I have is that  it stopped working and when the cell rings you cannot connect by selecting the incoming call as it does nto connect ( it does nothing ) .

Thanks in advance !

Regards

Rich

The help guide on the system manager is probably one of the best that I have come across.

For twinning, you use personal ring groups. My guess would be that one must have been marked as absent for it to stop working. Do you use UCA as well? That can often cause things to go funny.

You can use personal ring groups (PRG) or multi device groups (MDG)

You will need one user programmed with the mobile number filled in (need a external hotdesk lic for this (EHDU))

put the desk phone user and the EHDU user in a PRG or MDG

make sure they are shown as "present" in the group

In the class of service (COS) for the EHDU you can choose to have the EHDU permantly logged in
Called something like "external hotdesk user perm login"

If you dont set this option in the COS they you need to ring in from the mobile to the DISA number and "log in"
There are a few settings so if you need more info let me know, i may right a guide if i can be bothered.

Hey Guys

Thx for the replies as I got it !

I did not set up presence in Multi Device user Groups / when in the extension click on the user and it brings you into the Presence section to set up for twinning .
